Birch Woods

A stand of white birch, often called paper or silver birch, is a delight to the eye. The reflective power of the bark sparkles in the woodlands. Famously used to cover canoes it is also a strong and flexible wood good for bows and arrows, snowshoes and sleds. Syrup, wine, beer and tonics are also made from the sap.
