Manning Chapel - Wolfville
Manning Chapel was built in 1963 making it the youngest in the Landmark Series. Its refined classical lines have never ceased winning acclaim for the University, nor has Manning Chapel waned in the affections of the many graduates who choose the venue for their nuptials (this artist included). The Chapel features a 114’ tower and is constructed of Vermont marble and granite quarried near Shelburne. The interior of Manning Chapel was not slighted either. Nearly half a million dollars was spent on tasteful interior appointments, which include the unique stain glass windows that offer bright images from both interior and exterior light sources. The twenty stop classical organ was built in Quebec and is dedicated to Acadia’s war dead.
