Inspiration –  Mary, Mary… is a painting conceived out of the pure joy of feeling spring sunshine and seeing flowers blooming in places you’d least expect them to. I seized the passing whimsical idea of flowers blooming on the fullness of her onion-shaped skirt, while Mary waters the thirsty blooms.
