Treasured Tusks
I was so enraged and saddened last month after reading about the critically endangered baby Sumatran elephant that died after losing half its trunk in a trap set by poachers in Indonesia. Elephant tusks are highly sought after in different parts of the world for their valuable ivory.
Acrylic paint and genuine sea-tumbled glass and pottery were used to complete this artwork.
