Wild Women at Sea
Do you know those moments when you feel you are doing exactly what you are meant to be doing? This dream gig was just this. In the summer of 2022 I had the privilege of teaching for four days on a schooner (The J & E Riggin) off the coast of Maine. The class was part of a regular event through Get Hooked at Sea, organized by Beth and Ellen of 207 Creatives.
My class was called Wild Women at Sea and it was an incredible experience. Out in nature, on the water, with great food and an incredible group of participants. We journaled, we designed, we hooked. Participants worked with a fibre bundle of my hand spun yarn in the eight Chakra colours. They journaled and sketched in my One Loop at a Time, The Creativity Workbook.
It was in preparing to teach this class I was inspired to create this simple wave with the Chakra colours scattered throughout. Hooked on linen with many recycled, hand dyed and hand spun yarns and fabrics.
12 inches x 12.5 inches, mounted on a wooden cradle frame painted flat black. Ready to hang in your home or office.
