Hello again from Art 1274 Hollis Art Gallery. Roaring Reindeer Batman! Tis the season once again! So much to do, so much happening in downtown Halifax.
Art 1274 Hollis is gearing up along with eight other city galleries to ring in the merry, merry. We are hosting a gala one-night event in conjunction with Shopping Under the Stars 2, a night of late-night shopping sponsored by the Spring Garden Area Business Association. The Galleries are calling our special evening Starry Night Gallery Hop with a nod to Mr. Vincent Van Gogh for this title.
We at Art 1274 Hollis are pulling out all the stops to show off what we can do to make this night especially warm and wonderful for you. December is the month we will feature acrylic painter/ illustrator Cris Sonntag. Cris’s work is joyful, colourful and whimsical. Her paintings take you on a journey back to your childhood to a time when life was a little more carefree. Couldn’t we all use a little carefree these days?
Our family of Artists have all worked hard to create something special for this event. So, see you Friday, December 2nd. Our doors open at 11:00 am and will stay open until 10:00 pm that night. We will welcome you to a glass of hot cider and maybe a treat as you enjoy our new work and chat with the Artists. To add to the ambiance, we will have live music for your enjoyment. What could be more magical for this kind of seasonal event than heavenly sounds of harp strings.
