From that superb Canadian balladeer, Gordon Lightfoot, as he sings The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald..’tis so…“when the skies of November turn gloomy”. So Gloomy they are! And soon the wet, clotted cream snow will soak the ground and chill the soul.

But my dear ones, we at Art Hollis will warm you with a special treat from one of our newest members. Sherry Santarpia has a way with colour and brush strokes that makes Harry Potter’s wand look meek. Sherry puts heart into every piece of her work - and it shows. This Artist puts colour down like a Master and her unique style will take your breath away.
We are celebrating with Sherry as she invites you to see her newest body of work that defies the “gloomy” and faces the unpredictable and ever-changing Maritime weather. As the saying goes… “If you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes.”

Her work will be up and on the Featured Artist wall for the Month of December beginning Thursday, December 4th until the first week of January. I highly encourage all of you to come in and warm up by her fire! In fact, the artist will be hosting a private opening reception for the show; if you are interested, please contact the gallery for details and to be added to the guest list.

Another big announcement: We at the Gallery are just over the moon right now. Our Gallery was voted one of the best Galleries in Halifax! I don’t need to explain to you Dear Friends why, right? Of course right! A Gold certificate and bragging rights all around. We work hard for that and love what we do. I guess it shows in our welcoming atmosphere - so come and view our ever-changing work.
See you at the Gallery!
