"Building Memories" is a celebration of love, nostalgia, and the meaningful memories we build together over time.

Inspired by a scene Colleen witnessed at White Point Beach Resort — a beloved local beach known for its family atmosphere — this work draws from her own cherished memories of sandcastle-building days spent with loved ones. The central figures of the mother and child symbolize the deep connection formed through shared experiences, where both are actively engaged in creating and exploring together.

The message Colleen hopes to communicate is that the simple things — shared experiences, quiet moments of creation and affection — hold great significance in family life and childhood.
