Raku firing involves taking the piece from a hot kiln with tongs and putting it in a reduction chamber containing combustible materials, then sealing it to create a lack of oxygen. This process produces unpredictable lustrous and/or crackle glaze results.

Raku work is decorative only and not intended to hold liquids, due to the porous nature of the clay used in the process. One of a kind pieces of art to add to the beauty and style of your home.
