Chickadee

Besides the squirrel, my companion in my backyard that is present year-round is the chickadee. This painting is based on a photograph I took during the winter. They are agile little birds that are the first to arrive at the birdfeeder when I put it up, and their loud recognizable “dee-dee-dee” call advertises when they are coming!
