Gooseberry Cove (20" x 24")

Gooseberry  Cove

There are several trails around Brier Island, and one leads to Gooseberry Cove. I do not know where the name comes from – maybe in the past gooseberries were grown there? The shore is surrounded by  the distinctive basalt formations, and there were also ducks sheltering from the wind in the distant bay.
