Lily Pads on Pond (20" x 20")

Lily Pads on Pond by Heather Crout is a watercolour inspired by the intimate, lively world of a pond and the colours of its lily-pad leaves against dark water.

Medium: Watercolour
Dimensions: 20" wide × 20" high

Artist’s words:

“I used to live on a harbourfront; now I have only a pond. But it’s a more intimate feeling, and there’s lots of life in it.

I love the different colours in the leaves and tried to capture them. The dark water underneath just intensifies the colours.”
