October’s Apples (29" x 22")

October’s Apples by Heather Crout is a water-media still life on hot-pressed paper, incorporating gouache and crayon.

Medium: Water media
Dimensions: 29" wide × 22" high

Artist’s words:

“I love setting up still lifes and the play of placing different props together. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but when it does, it just feels good.

This piece started with a pitcher of black-eyed Susans and grew from there. Working on hot-pressed paper allows the introduction of gouache and crayon. I love how it dances throughout.”
