Peggy’s Cove overlooking Clam Pond

Painted from site in the lower parking lot at Peggy’s Cove on a hot overcast day – not the best conditions for painting in acrylics!.

 The painting shows the view across Clam Pond, an inlet from the Atlantic Ocean. Beyond it is a steep rise up to the rugged Peggy’s Cove Preservation Area. This Pond is tidal, so it was difficult to paint the water as it streamed in and out.
