Pines and Blueberry Fields

Pines and Blueberry Fields

This was painted during an artist residency in Parrsboro, which was a
wonderful opportunity to get to know the area. I painted some small plein
air paintings, but I also took photographs to use for larger studio works,
including this view of some blueberry fields near Parrsboro, which were
beginning to turn dramatic shades of red. The rows of pines form an
interesting pattern against the sky.
