     The Artistry of a birds nest is a most miraculous piece of Sculpture. The idea of long days gathering the building materials ,the thoughtful weaving together of said materials in an act of willing and inspired cooperation to create a safe family Home, is nothing short of incredible.

     The idea for this painting was inspired by  a walk in woods one morning in early spring and the discovery of a beautifully woven ,empty nest . It most likely was  last years construction and there it was …securely woven into and around  a thatch of pussy willows silently awaiting the return of the next generation of song sparrows.
