There's a specific magic to a summer afternoon on the Halifax waterfront. This piece captures that exact moment at Water Polo where the salt air catches the fringe of a striped umbrella, and the world seems to slow down for a cocktail.

I was particularly drawn to the rhythm of the deep blue curved walls against the crisp cerulean sky. If you look closely, you'll see hints of red where the light hits creases of buildings and handle of umbrellas - a warm contrast to the dark golden cream of architecture.
