Wetland Vigil (12" x 12")

In Wetland Vigil, Gillian Lazanik evokes the quiet mystery of a wetland landscape. Slender tree forms rise from deep, earthy shadows, while luminous green and golden tones gather in the foliage. A pale passage of light across the foreground suggests still water, offering a gentle contrast to the richly textured surroundings.

Layers of acrylic, oil, and mixed media create a tactile surface that invites a closer look. Atmospheric and contemplative, this intimate painting brings a sense of woodland stillness indoors.
