David Bowie  was a legend … Bowie assumed various alter egos throughout his career.  It was hsrd to keep track of of his many different personalities! Bowie declined the rank of Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2000 as well as the knighthood in 2003. It wasn’t what he had worked for, he said.

 I didn’t particularly like his music but as I grew older I began to appreciate all he accomplished.
