Winter scenes are so intriguing to paint because snow has so many suttle but interesting hues.
Often in the shadows you will find blue,mauve and green tints. Snow in sunlight is warmer with pinks and orange hues.
A heavy snowfall made this scene so much more interesting as the beautiful colours on the snow came to life.
